Talk Title:
NAP-XPS Study of CO and CO2 Hydrogenation on Ni(111) Under h-BN Cover.
Bio:
Prof. Luca Vattuone is Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Genoa, where he has been a staff researcher since 1999. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Genoa and subsequently held a postdoctoral position at the University of Cambridge, working with Sir David A. King. His academic career has been dedicated to experimental surface science and materials research.
Prof. Vattuone’s research focuses on gas–surface interactions, using advanced techniques such as vibrational spectroscopy, single crystal calorimetry, supersonic molecular beams, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. More recently, his work has expanded to include the chemical reactivity of graphene and other two-dimensional materials, as well as confined chemistry. He serves as Section Editor of Coatings and Associate Editor of Frontiers in Chemistry, contributing actively to the scientific community.
