Talk Title:

Where to look for shape selectivity? The strange cases of catalysis on ferrierite.

Bio:

Dr. Francesco Di Renzo is an Emeritus Research Director at the Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM), France. He obtained his degree in chemical engineering and a Ph.D. in industrial chemistry from Politecnico di Milano before joining the CNRS, where he developed extensive expertise in catalysis for petrochemical applications and the valorisation of renewable resources. He is a former President of the French Zeolite Group and is widely recognized for his contributions to catalytic materials and sustainable chemistry.

Dr. Di Renzo collaborates closely with researchers at ICGM, including Dr. Jonathan Fabian Sierra-Cantor, who completed his doctoral research on ferrierite catalysis for bioresources, and Dr. Corine Gérardin, Head of the Department of Hybrid and Porous Materials, alongside Dr. Nathalie Tanchoux, who leads the catalysis team. Together, their work advances the development of innovative porous materials and catalytic systems for energy and environmental applications.
