Recent Advances in Palladium Iodide Catalyzed Carbonylative Transformations
Bio:
Dr. Bartolo Gabriele is a Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Calabria. He completed his degree (1990) and PhD (1994) at the same university. After a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University with Ronald Breslow, he advanced to Associate Professor in 2002 and Full Professor in 200
His pioneering research in synthetic organic chemistry, particularly in innovative carbonylation reactions using carbon monoxide, has led to over 260 impactful publications and 20 patents. This work is encapsulated in his edited volume, Carbon Monoxide in Organic Synthesis (Wiley, 2022). His significant contributions have been recognized with the Italian Chemical Society's Award in Synthetic Organic Chemistry (2013) and its prestigious Senior Award in Organometallic Chemistry (2024), highlighting his standing as a leader in the field.
